Welcome to the Department of Engineering Professional Development at the University of Wisconsin-Madison!

EPD Transfers Technical Knowledge to Individuals, Industry, and Government

Continuing education courses - Each year, the Department of Engineering Professional Development (EPD) conducts hundreds of continuing education courses for engineers, scientists, architects, managers and other professionals. More than 10,000 students representing more than 5,000 businesses attend at our Madison conference centers or at major hotels/conference centers around the country. Our courses provide a mix of classroom lectures, hands-on sessions, problem-solving experiences, and group discussions, giving you opportunities to fully examine and apply the ideas and concepts presented.

On-site training - As a customer-focused organization, EPD can deliver many of our courses on-site, providing convenience and cost savings for groups of employees. We can also work with our clients to tailor a program that meets the organization's specific educational needs.

Advanced degrees and certificate programs - EPD offers several online engineering graduate degrees—innovative advanced degrees at a distance that make in-depth education available to practicing professionals. Eight certificate programs are also available to focus your continuing education in a specific area.
