BenefitsThe University of Wisconsin-Madison Department of Engineering Professional Development offers individuals the opportunity to gain a marketable, independently-recognized certification as a professional knowledgeable in laser welding. Two unique certifications offer recognition for their skills, through a combination of training, examination, and proof of experience. TopicsThe Laser Welding Certificate Examination is a four-hour, open-book examination covering laser welding fundamentals, beam diagnostic procedures, and relevant ISO Technical Standards for the validation of laser welding equipment and processes. The Certificate Examination consists of 120 questions. Please bring a calculator and course notebooks to the examination. AudienceTechnical professionals involved in the design, engineering, and/or management of laser welding parts, assemblies, or operations. Earn PDH, LU, CEUBy participating in this course, you will earn 5 Professional Development Hours (PDH) and 0.5 Continuing Education Units (CEU)..
